Denise Lawson

Denise Lawson has a diverse background which includes strategic consulting, directing and producing educational media, and teaching graduate courses for Carnegie Mellon University. She has a BS in Psychology from Georgetown University and an MBA from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

Denise has a passion for fitness, travel and adventure. She has gone on a dog sledding expedition in Alaska, sailed around the islands of Guadaloupe, and paddled in the Dragonboat World Championships in Szeged, Hungary. She has run more than 20 half marathons which have taken her to places as far away as Chengdu, China. In 2018, she did the Escape the Rock swim from Alcatraz to the city of San Francisco. Her travels inspire her creativity.

She currently resides in Springfield, VA. She has two grown children and two very old dogs. One of the dogs is a retired sled dog from Alaska.
